Frequently Asked Questions
1. Replacement of devices for heat cost allocation
By the end of 2026, according to the law, all devices for heat cost allocation must be remote.
Additional reasons for the replacement of the following types of devices:
- Brunata RME 95 heat cost allocators - the devices have exceeded their service life.
- Brunata RMK 87 heat cost allocators - do not meet modern technical requirements.
- Apartment heat meters - if they have been installed more than 15 years ago, with an expired validity of metrological verification and expiring service life of the electronics.
- Water meters - with expired validity of metrological verification.
Remote reading ensures accuracy in metering with minimal risk of human error. When devices (heat cost allocators and water meters for hot water) connected to a district heating substation have remote reading, customers have the opportunity for monthly meter reading of actual consumption without a visit to their homes.
2. Process of replacing devices
Dalsia prepares a replacement schedule by building, so that each floor property is included in time. The floor property needs to prepare a signed Protocol/Application, after which our teams will organize the installation within the agreed deadlines.
The Protocol/Application verifies the consent of the residents of the floor property for a collective replacement of devices. After being signed by the majority of residents, the building can be included in the replacement schedule.
The property manager is the main contact person who provides the Protocol/Application for signature by their neighbors. After collecting the necessary number of signatures, the document is sent to Dalsia to include the building in the replacement schedule.
3. Individual cases and questions
If your heat cost allocators with remote reading are manufactured by the Danish company Brunata, they are not compatible for use with the new model that will be installed in the building. To comply with the legal compatibility requirements, all heat cost allocators in the building need to be from the same manufacturer and model.
Dalsia offers an option for buy-back of radio meters at a price depending on the installation year. For devices installed after 2022, the replacement will be done completely free of charge.
Heat cost allocators that are not replaced will not be able to be read, as they are not compatible with the new devices. As a result, the respective customers will incur service consumption charges.
If the Protocol/Application has not yet been submitted by the floor property, the process should be initiated to sign it for the replacement of the devices in the building as soon as possible.
If the building has already submitted a Protocol/Application, you should contact our team. We will offer you a temporary solution until the date of installation of the new devices.
4. Costs and applications
Dalsia offers preferential conditions for properties that apply for replacement in a timely manner. Offers are sent to property managers, but can also be obtained individually upon request.
In addition to heat cost allocators and apartment heat meters, you can request other devices that do not require a collective decision from the property. Such devices include water meters for hot and cold water, thermostatic heads, and others.
Applications are accepted at tel. 02 4085 000, email sales.ts@dalsia.com, as well as through the Customer Portal
5. Remote reading
Remote reading allows data collection from meters, heat meters, heat cost allocators, and other devices without visiting the home.
Dalsia applies a wireless radio system for reading heat cost allocators - convenient, accurate, and affordable.
All Dalsia devices are equipped with a radio transmitter, which sends data to a receiver. The data is transferred to Dalsia's server and used to generate invoices.
6. Technical questions
The forecast share is determined based on consumption from the previous heating season.
The devices are reset on October 1st each year. They show the accumulated divisions for the current season and those from the previous one.
The form includes:
- Basic property information
- Readings of heat cost allocators and water meters
