Remote-reading hot water meters by the end of 2026
What the law requires
Under § 75 of the Transitional and Final Provisions of the Act amending the Energy Efficiency Act (State Gazette No. 21 of 2021), in connection with Art. 140(1) and (7)–(8) of the Energy Act, hot water meters in condominium buildings connected to the district heating network must allow remote reading.
The deadline is 1 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions
Hot water meters must allow remote reading by 1 January 2027 (§ 75 of the Transitional and Final Provisions of the Act amending the Energy Efficiency Act, State Gazette No. 21/2021).
